The C1 (7.5 tonne) licence is suitable for driving ambulances, small horse boxes and motorhomes and some large vans. If you gained your car driving licence after January 1997 you will be required to take this licence.
To complete a C1 (7.5 tonne) licence you will need to complete the following steps:
- Medical and Licence application.
If you prefer you can complete this yourself at your own Doctors or we can arrange to do your application and use our in house doctor.
- Theory test
A LGV Multiple choice test & Hazard Perception Test. You can book your own online at www.gov.uk/book-theory-test or we can offer this service for you.
- Driving Course with your Driving Test on the last day
We offer courses to suit every individual. If you have never driven a large vehicle and would like to know a bit more before you commit to a course, we offer a ‘Taster Session’ for 1 ½ hours.
All our vehicles are well maintained and meet DVSA test requirements. Our 7.5t has a basic 1-5 gear box (the same as a car) which makes learning simple and affordable.
We always train on a 1 to 1, trainer:student basis.
Both of our trainers are DSA Registered Large Goods Vehicle Instructors.
Please call 01902 744726 for course prices.
